Despite all the hard work you’ve put in to planning your perfect wedding, despite running through every possible situation in your head and finding a solution for any problem that could possibly spring up, we hate to say it (but someone has to) – something will inevitably go wrong. However, if you plan ahead, and take our advice – something going wrong doesn’t have to mean your wedding will spiral in to a day of disaster. If you pack these items, you’ll be able to handle any situation with grace!
1. Pain Reliever
A wedding day is full of stress, happy tears, high heels and other headache/pain inducers. Make sure you’re prepared for the worst by packing some Ibuprofen or other pain reliever to get you feeling 100% quickly!
2. Mini Sewing Kit
Make sure to grab a mini sewing kit (available at Target or any hobby store) to fix any last minute wardrobe malfunctions. It may also be wise to pack safety pins and fashion tape in your kit, too. You just never know!
3. Eye Drops
You probably didn’t sleep very well the night before due to excitement or maybe nerves, and on top of that your eyes have been pouring tears of happiness all day long – now your eyes are a bloodshot mess. But the bride who packed redness relief eye drops won’t be stressed for a second!
4. Antacid
Stomach on edge from nerves? Last night’s Groom’s Dinner not sitting so well with you? Pack some Pepto-bismal in your purse to alleviate any minor tummy aches.
5. Clear Nail Polish
Did your Maid of Honor get a run in her nylons just minutes before the walk down the aisle? Don’t fret – pack clear nail polish to fix any last minute runs!
6. Granola Bars
It can be tough to fit in a meal on the day of your wedding, even when everything IS running on schedule. Between getting everyone’s hair done, finalizing decorations, and making sure everyone is where they need to be , you may not have time to sit down and eat. Pack granola bars to tide you over until meal time – they’re easy to eat while juggling a million other things!
7. Bandages
If you’re lucky, you and your maids will escape the day without blisters. However, if you’re still trying to break in your heels on the day of your wedding, you’re probably going to get a blister at some point. Pack bandages for a quick cover and easy relief from aching blisters.
8. Static Cling Spray
Nothing looks more unflattering than a dress that’s stuck to every inch of your body in all the wrong places, or flyaway hairs that won’t stay down. Avoid embarrassment and pack static cling spray to keep everyone looking sharp and static-free.
9. Portable Steamer
Dresses have a way of wrinkling, and wrinkling fast. Make sure to spare yourself the stress and invest in a steamer to get wrinkles out quickly and easily.
10. Tissues
This wouldn’t be a very good list if we didn’t include tissues! Not only are they good for mopping up those inevitable tears of joy, but they’re necessary for blotting lips and wiping up any minor spills. Make sure to grab a pack before your big day!
